01How often should boiler maintenance be performed?
For marine boilers, general maintenance is recommended annually, with a comprehensive overhaul every 2-3 years. This may vary depending on operating conditions and class requirements. Regular inspection prevents unexpected failures and costly repairs.
02How long does a boiler repair take?
It depends on the type of service: routine maintenance 2-5 days, tube renewal (retubing) 7-15 days, comprehensive overhaul 2-4 weeks. Emergency service options are available depending on your vessel's schedule.
03Do you service all brands and types?
Yes. We provide workshop service for all brands and types of marine boilers, plate and shell & tube heat exchangers, scavenge air coolers and pressure vessels. We work brand-independently.
04How often do plate heat exchanger gaskets need replacement?
Plate heat exchanger gaskets should generally be replaced every 2-3 years. If you notice leakage, performance drop or visual deformation, it's time for maintenance. We replace with original gaskets.
05When does shell & tube renewal (retubing) become necessary?
Tube bundles must be renewed when corrosion, blockage or leakage is detected in the tubes. Regular cleaning and testing can extend tube life. We offer custom fabrication and tube renewal (retubing) in all sizes.
06Do you provide class certification and documentation?
Yes. We hold an NK Class boiler repair certificate. All repair and testing processes are carried out and documented in compliance with class society requirements.
07What information do I need to provide for a quote?
Vessel name, IMO number, vessel type, service type (boiler, heat exchanger, refractory, etc.), a brief description of the service required and your contact details are sufficient. You can get an instant quote via the contact form or WhatsApp.
08What does your Inert Gas Generator (IGG) system repair include?
We first inspect the combustion chamber, cone and refractory sections and identify cracks, deformation and refractory wear. Where needed, the combustion chamber and cone are re-manufactured or renewed at our workshop and the burner and fittings are replaced. Finally, tightness and combustion tests are carried out to return the system to service.
09How does a Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS) installation progress?
We start by planning the system layout according to vessel type and capacity, then install the filter, UV or electrochlorination unit, pumps and piping. Electrical and automation connections follow, then commissioning tests, ballast operation trials and class approval. Installation usually takes 1-3 weeks and is scheduled around the vessel's programme.
10Are you brand-dependent for pump and separator repairs?
No. We provide repair and maintenance services for all brands and types of marine pumps and separators. Including Alfa Laval, Desmi, Framo and other brands.
11Do you provide hull plate renewal services?
Yes. We offer comprehensive steel plate fabrication and repair services including hull plate renewal, cutting and welding.
12What does your scrubber system maintenance and fabrication cover?
We inspect the scrubber tower body, nozzles and piping and re-manufacture worn or deformed sections at our workshop. Onboard we complete installation, alignment and commissioning tests. The system is then adjusted to operate in line with sulphur emission requirements.
